Question:
From: Gus – Gonzales, TX

My transmission is having shifting problems especially when trying to shift into overdrive. Any suggestions?
Is there a filter/strainer inside the pan?
2003 Chevrolet Duramax with Allison Transmission.

Responce:
The Allison Transmission does have an internal filter and does not have a screen Filter!

Also this Transmission should be serviced every 6 months to one year and we do not recommend Transmission Flushes because of the electrical components its very easy to get fluid in the valve body an can cause more harm than good, especially on high millage transmissions.
